Lawrence, Clarece Lispector, Lovecraft, Mailer,
Malraux, Thomas Mann Martínez Estrada,
Henri Michaux, Nabokov, and Octavio Paz are just
a few of the names that pepper the library of
the Villa Ocampo. From her infancy to her death,
reading was one of Victoria’s passions.
The collection of more than 10,000 volumes, many
of which bear dedications from famous authors,
bolster Victoria’s description of herself
as an “avid and omnivorous reader.”
